Peak season 2025: 41M parcels, 98.4% on time

Between mid-November and New Year's Eve the network moved 41 million parcels — 22 percent more than the previous peak — and delivered 98.4 percent of them inside the promised window.

The headline number hides a thousand small preparations. We banked 3,100 seasonal teammates in October and trained them in mixed crews with permanent staff. We pre-positioned 260 trailers of surge capacity against the lanes our models flagged. We rehearsed the failure of our two largest hubs and rerouted around a simulated Rotterdam outage in 40 minutes.

The weather cooperated until December 19th, when a North Sea storm closed two ferry corridors for 60 hours. The Bergen drone corridors carried medical parcels through the gap; everything else flexed to road and rail with an average delay of nine hours, recovered within three days.
